What2Learn is an award-winning game-based learning website. This site is a fun and FREE way to assist students in their education. There are 25,000 different educational games, tests, and quizzes. You even have the option to create your own!

1. W2L Teachers Guide- NEED HELP? GO HERE! this is a link to the W2L Teacher's Guide.  

2. How to insert game from what2learn site- this link is a YouTube video that shows hot to insert a games from what2learn website onto a PowerPoint presentation.

3. Printable Activities- this link is a page that has printable certificates and alphabet games.

4. W2L subjects for pre-made games- this link shows a list of all the different topics covered in each subject area.

5. W2L up dates- this link has all the important updates that W2L has had.

 

Hands-On Presentation:

1. Go to what2learn site (http://www.what2learn.com/)

2. "Sign Up" and create a "Teachers" account

3. Go over Teacher's what2learn page

     a. Dashboard

     c. Change Class

     d. Sharing

Ideas for Future Teaching:

1. This website can be used for practice quizzes before an exam.

2. Assign games as homework. Students will be more motivated to study and do work at home if it is in game form.

3. Create a competition between students/classes to see who can get a score of 100% first.

4. If student's complete work early they can go online and play educational games.

5. Have class share about student's personal "Micon". This will motivate kids to keep playing games to earn more credits for buying fun stuff.

This is an awesome website! I can't wait to play this on my own, and to make my own "student" website, and try to pass the games. I think this would be great to use, especially to make it an assessment and take all of the kids to a computer lab to take it at the same time. That would be awesome.
